I had my WOW! moment when I learnt about my WOW colours from an amazing House of Colour Consultant, and discovered I was an autumn leaf as I moved into the autumn years of my life! What a transformation and I had to quickly adjust to being noticed and receiving wonderful compliments. I lost a decade overnight and gained a confidence I’d never known! My journey continued when I attended a style day and realised how being a Natural Classic with a touch of gamine could take me to the next level of stylish dressing.
I felt empowered to take up a new job , shake off my empty nest syndrome, wake up my wardrobe and let the next phase of my life begin.
After 25 years in Education, helping and supporting children and their families, I am now ready to share this wonderful experience with others. I am passionate about continuing to make a difference to others and sharing the tremendous feeling you get from wearing your true colours to suit your clothing personality.
I have a studio in Wokingham and also share a studio in a country location at Beech Hill, on the outskirts of Reading, with the Reading Consultant. Mother and Daughter session: Precious shared moments.
I decided to treat my daughter S to a Mother & Daughter colour session. It was a great way to lift her spirits and spend some quality time with me. The session was perfect. Sue was entertaining and engaging for my teenage daughter, at the same time as checking our colours. Time just flew by. My S was fascinated by the new skills she acquired and couldn’t wait to get home and check if she intuitively had “her” colours already in her wardrobe. I was so excited when Mum said she had booked us in for some girl-time. When we got to Sue’s studio and she started to explain how colours can play a part in how we feel, I became intrigued and wanted to learn more about what my colours were and how they could affect me.
Sue allowed me to get involved whilst she did my mum’s colours and I really enjoyed guessing and getting them right, especially when my mum got them wrong!! She’s a Sultry Winter. Then it was my turn, and I am a Winter Jewel. I love my colours. My mum always says I have great intuition which was affirmed but Sue. I also learned a lot about what colours to use where when accessorising. This was really facilitating. I really enjoyed learning my colours with my mum and getting to know Sue. It was fun. And now I help Mum choosing her clothes too!!
